A Simple Guide To Dressing Well

Ajay KiraniBy Ajay KiraniMarch 27, 2024

After working in fashion, people may ask you for fashion tips. Fashion speaks for its wearer and tells the world how the person feels. People often ask what they should wear, how to wear it, what trends to buy and what has gone out of vogue.

However, fashion is for self-expression and speaks for the wearer. You should be able to wear what you feel like and what makes you feel the most like you. Fortunately, we’ve gathered plenty of tips, tricks and hacks. From a simple accessory necklace that elevates the basics to changing room mantras, they help a lot when buying something or putting together an outfit in the morning.

    Coordination Is Everything

You know the person who always looks pulled together? Their clothes are always on point, fit well, and look good together after a few sear-throughs. Coordination can make or break an outfit. A watch from Seiko Philippines can do a lot for a simple outfit. Clothes that do not fit or mesh well together can break an outfit and impact the first impression.

Hence, coordinating an outfit is imperative. One way to do that is with colours. You can pair analogous colours next to each other on the colour wheel and have a common hue. You need a safe colour to incorporate new shades in your outfits.

Coordination also means you need to pay more attention to the small details of the outfit. Some of these include:

    • The seam of a shirt hits the shoulder
    • Skirt zips neatly

When in need, a good tailor is your best friend.

    Accessories

For a pair of statement earrings or a watch, it can elevate your outfit. The lazy girl hacks to change a basic outfit and elevate it in statement pieces. Fortunately, keeping it simple works a lot here. If you are a minimalist kind of person, then you can pile on the accessories,, and you’ll look busy. If you want style inspiration, you can refer to Zoe Kravitz, who is a good reference.

    Balance

Another principle of dressing well is balance. Balance means that the weight of your clothes on the top half is balanced on the lower half of your body. It is also a hard thing to master. It’s okay if you need to grasp the principle immediately. It takes time, and practice to master it.

An example and exception is if you wear an A-line and flowy skirt on the lower half of the body, you should go for a fitted top. However, it can also depend on your body type. Try not to “drown” in your clothes as much, too!

    Look At Pegs

If you’re getting anything done, show a hairdresser a picture of someone with your ideal cut. The same applies to outfits. If you have a style icon, follow fan accounts and get a folder of your favourites for easy inspiration. It would help if you used the same logic for styles and outfits.

    Wrapping Up

If you want to dress, you need to follow these principles. Some principles are significant in practice. However, knowing your body type and determining what works best for your features is essential. Good luck!
